Server settings
The name, the address and the look everyone on this server sees. Your own preferences live in Settings.
Name and address
How people sign in
At least one way in has to stay on. Turning the last one off is refused, with a reason.
How people get in
Signing in is who somebody is. This is whether they are let in at all — and it is the setting that decides how much work joining your server is.

Invite only
Nobody gets in without a link you made. The safe default.

Anyone with the link
Opening the link joins them there and then — bounded by the expiry and the number of uses you set on it.

Anyone can ask
Opening the link puts them in a queue on Members for you to wave through. The least work for them, the most for you.
Whichever you pick, an invite still carries the role, tier and libraries it was made with — the mode only decides who may open one.
Branding
The accent every member sees by default. They can still choose their own in Settings — this is where a new member starts.
API keys
Keys live on the server and are never sent to a browser. This says whether one is set, and nothing else.
